This is our Missionary journal of what we did on a week to week basis. Some things are spiritual but most are just plain fun. We are on a Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and we love sharing the gospel with those we meet in our journey here in Germany.

12 July 2011 Kornigstein & Dresden
KORNIGSTEIN FORTRESS
On to Dresden. Couldn't forget this beautiful city. We had a holiday in Germany, so we took advantage of the time. The girls were enthralled with Dresden, because it is so artistic in so many ways. Singing, musical groups, art galaries and statues everywhere. There is a music Opera School house near the downtown area and students from the school put on performances singing on the square to earn a little extra money. It is like listening to a professional Opera right there. Dawn and Rachel did not want to leave but I told them we only had a little bit of good light left and we needed to get some pictures of the Frauenkirche. The protestant church that out did the Catholic church in Dresden.
The girls met a couple who were here touring East Germany as his girlfriend was from West Germany. They had allot of good things to say about the scenery in West Germany, especially the Romantisches Road that has all the romantic castles.. I almost forgot to input that we took the girls to Gene's favorite place, Kornigstein near Dresden. It is just awesome and built for maximum protection from intruders. After you see the pictures you will know what I mean. The girls loved this fortress. Had to leave early as we had one more place to go before nightfall.
