19 Oct 2011 Hamm & Amerlee FHC-Den Haag Temple

Our first assignment was to deliver a new computer to the Hamm, Germany FHC. It really took us a while to find it because of all the detours due to construction there. The director met us at the center and I proceeded to set up her computer. Of course, that was a challenge for me, so I called the help line in Salt Lake City. It took another hour to figure out the instructions to no avail. Decided to pray about it and of course, you know what happened, it started right up. One of these days I will learn to do that first, to avoid all the headache. Their center is small but in good order. The same story here as in other centers throughout Europe, more non members use the Center to do Genealogy. Actually, you are probably getting the same percentages in the US. The spirit of Elijah is strong among the people in the last days. On to Amerlee to find a hotel and pick up computers.

Had to hurry on to Amerlee, Netherlands to pick up three computers from a member there. It was getting late so we checked into a cute little motel called the Finn. It was decorated in their own little style. We saw the most awesome sunset, it was huge because the Netherlands is so flat. It is all below sea level. Took pictures of our room.

Drove to Den Haag where the LDS Temple is. Just a few minutes away from Amerlee. It is beautiful and pretty big. It reminded me of the Idaho Falls Temple. Their parking lot was under the temple and can only be used if you have a temple recommend. Outside is another parking lot that is used by the general public. We parked and walked around the Temple. Also took some pictures of the town.
