06 Jul 2011 Arrival of My Girls-Friedrichsdorf & Bad Homburg

Today we were so excited to have our girls coming from America. We met them at the Frankfurt Airport at 8:30 AM and it was so good to see them and give them our usual big hugs. I had to take a picture of them coming through the doors after they went through Customs. They were tired but they knew they would have to stay up all day so they could sleep that night. After dropping off their luggage at the apartment, we wanted them to see our beautiful town of Freidrichsdorf and the Temple. After driving around for a while we took them to eat at our favorite authentic German food restaurant, Cafe Klatch. I think they really enjoyed it.

We then decided to take them to another very wealthy town called Bad Homburg. Everyone for miles around flock to this town because the towns people put allot of money into their summer and winter activities, which are always free by the way. They have concerts where you just bring a blanket and lay on the grass. They also have huge firework displays at the end of summer. This town has its own castle and residence. The streets are made of cobblestone and the houses are all half timbered. They were exhausted when we came home that night. We had a big surprise the next morning.
